The Los Angeles Community College District (LACCD) is one of the largest community college districts in the country, educating more than 226,000 students each year. Through its Bond Construction Program, approved by voters in 2001, 2003 and 2008 respectively, over $6 billion will be generated to cover the cost of 50 new LEED Platinum Certified buildings and modernizing hundreds more, again to LEED level of excellence.
